“Lee Child, Dan Brown, and J.R.R. Tolkien created a monster. Its name is Dan Redwater.”

Hiding in the myths of history… until now

When a centuries-old frozen body is discovered in the mountains of Haida Gwaii, the remote archipelago off the western coast of Canada, a renegade anthropologist and an ex-army signal officer grudgingly team up to solve what starts off as an eight-hundred-year-old mystery. Little do they know, their iceman is only the tip of the iceberg. This mystery is about to get older than recorded history itself.

Kean Tuttle is an anthropologist with an incredible gift. He is an eidetiker, a man whose mind catalogues everything he sees in a series of 3-D images that he is able to recall at will with uncanny accuracy. But some parts of his life should be forgotten. The red spider lily is one such thing, for it has plagued his mind since childhood. Just when he thought he would never solve its secret, it surfaces once again with an iceman at the edge of the continent. However, he is not the only one interested in this iceman.

The wealthy industrialist Alrik Strand has provided funding for the body’s excavation but insists on flying to the site personally. He knows icemen can talk and the stories this particular one can tell could spell disaster for his kind. He must move fast and decisively, so he has brought his three most trusted outwatchers with him. This is not the first time Alrik Strand has had to bury the truth. He has sworn to do whatever it takes to protect his people and this time will be no different.

But unknown to Strand, someone has followed his outwatchers, a young woman hell-bent on revenge and with an unshakable desire to uncover the truth.

Who is the iceman?
